Terms & Conditions
1. About us
Websies Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16966479. Our registered office is 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. These terms govern your use of our website creation and hosting service available at websies.co.
By creating an account and using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
2. Our service
Websies provides a website creation and hosting service on a monthly subscription basis. The process works as follows:
- You complete an AI-guided creative session to tell us about your business and design preferences.
- You choose your design style, upload your assets and confirm your requirements.
- You subscribe to a plan and complete payment.
- We build your website based on the information you provided, typically within 7–8 days.
- We share the website with you for review — nothing goes live without your explicit approval.
- Once approved, your website is deployed and hosted by us for as long as your subscription is active.
We may contact you during the build process if we need additional information or clarification. It is your responsibility to check your email, including your spam folder, regularly for updates.
3. Pricing and payment
Standard plan: £47 per month. This includes website design, hosting, SSL, SEO optimisation, mobile responsiveness, basic analytics and customer support.
Add-ons. Additional features may be available at extra monthly cost, such as online payment processing (£5 a month) or e-commerce functionality (£10 a month). Add-ons are determined during the creative session based on your requirements, and are shown clearly before checkout.
- All subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
- There are no setup fees, contracts or hidden costs.
- Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time, with immediate effect. On cancellation you keep access to your website and dashboard until the end of your current billing period. After that, your website is taken offline.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, you have 14 days to update your payment method and settle the outstanding balance. If payment is not received within 14 days, your subscription is cancelled automatically and your website is taken offline.
Refund guarantee. If for any reason we are unable to deliver the service as described, you will receive a full refund — no questions asked.
Consumer cancellation rights. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of your first payment. If you ask us to begin work on your website within that period, you acknowledge that you may lose part or all of this cancellation right for the services already provided.
5. Website ownership and intellectual property
Your content. You retain full ownership of all content you provide to us, including text, images, logos, videos and documents. You must have the legal right to use any content you upload or provide.
Our work. The website design, code, templates and underlying technology remain the property of Websies Ltd. Your subscription grants you a licence to use the website for as long as your subscription is active.
On cancellation. When your subscription ends, the website is taken offline. This is a hosting and service subscription — similar to renting. You do not retain ownership of the website design or code. Your original content — the images, text and documents you uploaded — can be returned to you on request.
6. Domain names
Domain ownership. Your domain name is entirely yours. Websies never registers, purchases or holds domains on behalf of clients.
If you already have a domain. We will ask you to update two nameserver records in your domain registrar account to point to our infrastructure. We provide clear instructions, and can help over a screen share if you would rather. It is a one-time step.
If you need a domain. We will help you find the best available option and point you to a registrar to buy it yourself. There is no charge for this guidance.
Ongoing domain management. Once your nameservers point to us, we manage all DNS settings at our end. You are responsible for keeping your domain active and renewed with your registrar. Renewal fees are between you and your registrar — Websies is not involved in that.
On cancellation. When your subscription ends we remove your domain from our system. You keep full ownership of your domain and can point it anywhere else at any time.
7. Changes to your website
Your subscription includes unlimited changes to your website — photos, prices, text, pages — for as long as it is active. Change requests are submitted through your dashboard. Most changes are done within a few days; it depends on the change, and we will tell you either way.
“Unlimited” means what it says for any normal business keeping its website current. It is subject only to fair use, which exists to stop the service being abused rather than to ration it. Fair use does not cover:
- A complete redesign or rebuild — that is a new website rather than a change to this one.
- Work that falls significantly outside the scope of the website we originally built for you.
- Requests submitted faster than any reasonable person could expect them to be actioned, so that the queue never clears.
- Automated, bulk or repeated identical requests.
If a request falls outside fair use we will tell you before we do anything, explain why, and where we can, quote for it. We will never charge you for a change without agreeing it with you first. We action changes in the order we receive them.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our service to:
- Host or distribute illegal, harmful or offensive content.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
- Distribute malware or spam, or engage in phishing.
- Engage in any activity that could damage our infrastructure or other users.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service without notice if you breach these terms.
9. Service level
We are committed to maintaining a high standard of service for all subscribers:
- Uptime target: we aim for 99.9% website availability, excluding scheduled maintenance.
- Scheduled maintenance: we give at least 24 hours’ notice of planned maintenance that may affect your website.
- Support response: we aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours.
- Change requests: submitted changes are typically actioned within 3–5 working days.
- Build delivery: new websites are delivered in approximately 7 days on average, subject to the complexity of the project, the completeness of the information provided, and response times during review.
We are not liable for downtime or delays caused by third-party provider issues, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Websies Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our service, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption or data loss.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these terms, fail to make payment, or engage in prohibited activities. In such cases your website is taken offline and no refund is issued for the remaining billing period.
You may terminate your subscription at any time from your dashboard, or by contacting us at info@websies.co.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you by email. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Contact
